Okay, this is the sequel to the great chat session that follows the previous one’s with Aplus.  Remember how we registered a .us domain previously.. Yeah! Sequel to that … the problem is that Aplus got a hole in their system somehow … make sure to read my post in Tech-no-logic section later on about it as i’ll go much deeper to that but for right now here is the chat session with Aplus tech support and my friend Umair:

Visitor50177: and i signed up for 1 year
Visitor50177: but the control panel and email say… it will expire december 07
Visitor50177: what is that all about?
henryg: you talking about (DOMAIN REMOVED).us ?
Visitor50177: yes sir

henryg: it is because this domain was aready registered by somebody else
Visitor50177: so then why did your site let me register it?
henryg: now i will open a ticket to the Admin and the domain registration in your account will be closed
henryg: and the money will be refunded back
Visitor50177: but i want that site
henryg: but the domain was registered back in December last year
henryg: from ENOM
Visitor50177: but then how come aplus let me register it?
Visitor50177: i even talked to a live chat personnel last night and they assured me it was an open domain
henryg: because we check after the payment is made
henryg: now in this case this was a system error
henryg: that is why we will refund you the money back
Visitor50177: i believe there should be some sort of incentive for me, since i was given false hope and information. I have been a customer with Aplus for years now, and i have many domains
henryg: sir, did you do a whois before the registration ?
Visitor50177: no i did not, because when i went to aplus.net and i put in the domain i wanted it listed it was available
henryg: if you try to register microsoft.com
henryg: the system will charge you and will try to get that domain
henryg: of course it will fail
henryg: but this is how it works
Visitor50177: so thats how your regular customers are treated?

Visitor50177: not you in general, but the company.

Visitor50177: well then i guess i will take my refund
